AC/DC's new album PWR UP has, well, powered up the charts in its first two weeks. But why did the band wait nearly two years to release it?
Unsurprisingly, it was due to the pandemic. In an interview with the Turning Point podcast, Angus Young says the band was rehearsing and ready to go when "this pandemic thing sprung up out of nowhere".
Young also says the band had no problem keeping the whole thing a secret, saying "We all agreed to be hush... that's always pretty much the approach in the band".
Power Up debuted at #1 in 18 countries last week and is poised for another strong showing in week 2.
