Fleetwood Mac singer and keyboardist Christine McVie died of a massive stroke.
That’s according to the singer-keyboardist’s death certificate, which also reveals cancer had spread throughout her body prior to her November death. The coroner lists "ischaemic stroke" as McVie’s primary cause of death and cancer as the secondary cause, per the certificate. An ischaemic stroke occurs when a blood clot blocks and artery leading to the brain, health officials say.
McVie died at the age of 79, just six months after telling Rolling Stone she was suffering from scoliosis and was trying to “get my back better and get myself into decent shape again.”
