Daddy Bruce Randolph opened Daddy Bruce’s Bar-B-Q in 1963, at the age of 63, on the corner of Gilpin Street and East 34th Avenue in Denver, CO. For many years he donated his own time and money to serving Thanksgiving dinners to people in need in his community. Although he passed away in 1994, Christie's grandfather started a Thanksgiving tradition that continues to this day. For the past 16 years the Denver Feed A Family (DFAF) has distribute Thanksgiving baskets to people in the metro area. In the past, more than 3,000 baskets have been give away.
