The NW Film Center in Oregon canceled an Aug. 6 outdoor screening of the "Kindergarten Cop," starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, after several people complained that the movie glorified police in schools. The movie is about a detective who goes undercover as a kindergarten teacher in order to root out a drug dealer whose kid goes to the school.
Earlier this year HBO Max faced a similar backlash after it scheduled an airing of "Gone with the Wind." The network eventually ran the film but included additional content, meant to contextualize the movie.
