With all of the COVID-19 news floating around people are being much more vigilant about keeping things germ free. This is awesome. Our cell phones actually carry quite a few germs but with a quick wipe you can keep them spiffy clean.
- Dilute isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) with water
- Spray it on your phone
- Wipe it dry with a soft microfiber cloth.
Apple also updated their website to include cleaning tips for the iPhone, iPad and Mac, "Using a 70 percent isopropyl alcohol wipe or Clorox Disinfecting Wipes, you may gently wipe the hard, nonporous surfaces of your Apple product, such as the display, keyboard, or other exterior surfaces," the company says. "Don't use bleach. Avoid getting moisture in any opening, and don't submerge your Apple product in any cleaning agents. Don't use on fabric or leather surfaces."
Pro Tip- Avoid using regular paper towels or other rough materials that could scratch or damage your phone's screen and if you can try and use distilled water. Regular water tends to leave mineral deposits or streaks.
