FDA Officially Raises Legal Tobacco Age To 21
It's official - the FDA says it is now illegal to sell tobacco to anyone under the age of 21.
Last week, the White House signed off on a bill that would increase the legal age within the next six months. But it looks like the new rules are already in effect.
The FDA's website has now been updated to read "It is now illegal for a retailer to sell any tobacco product – including cigarettes, cigars and e-cigarettes – to anyone under 21."
