Last week, it was revealed that Daryl Hall was suing his longtime musical partner John Oates - and now we know what the legal battle is about.
According to unsealed court documents, Oates wants to sell his stake in the duo's song catalog - and Hall is trying to block the sale, claiming it violates the terms of their business agreement.
A judge has temporarily blocked the sale of Whole Oats Enterprises LLP to Primary Wave, the firm that owns song rights for artists like Nirvana, Bob Marley, and Johnny Cash and purchased a 'significant interest' in the Hall & Oates catalog in 2007.
