Harrison Ford is ready to be done with Indiana Jones.
After “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” premieres in June, the actor has said he’s done with playing the iconic character and said not to expect him to make an appearance on the Indiana Jones TV series currently in the works for Disney+.
He explained, “This is the final film in the series, and this is the last time I’ll play the character. I anticipate that it will be the last time that he appears in a film.”
Meanwhile “Indiana Jones 5” will start with a 25-minute flashback sequence.
Director James Mangold says he wanted to begin "The Dial of Destiny" with a scene that would “give the audience an adrenaline blast” from the days of George Lucas and Steven Spielberg, adding that the scene will be set in 1944 and take place in a castle filled with Nazis.
That means the flashback will be set after “The Last Crusade.”
Mangold added, ”The goal was to give the audience a full-bodied taste of what they missed so much. Because then when the movie lands in 1969, they're going to have to make an adjustment to what it is now, which is different from what it was.”
