Stevie Nicks is left mourning the loss of Christine McVie, a longtime friend and bandmate of Fleetwood Mac, who died Wednesday, November 30, at 79 years old. According to McVie's family, she died of a "short illness."
Nicks posted to Twitter a long handwritten letter showing love to her friend. "See you on the other side, my love," said Nicks. "Don't forget me."
Following McVie's marriage to bassist John McVie in 1970, she joined Fleetwood Mac, where she established her career. She was one of the band's most productive songwriters, writing classics including "Everywhere," "Don't Stop," and "Little Lies," in addition to playing the keyboard and frequently singing lead.
