Kaiser Permanente is reaching out to nearly 4,000 patients to inform them that they may have received a low dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in Walnut Creek last fall.
Kaiser is contacting patients who received a Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine dose between October 25 and December 10. According to a statement released by Kaiser, the amount administered was between 0.01 to 0.04 ml less of the recommended 0.30 ml dose.
Kaiser said it is offering an additional Pfizer vaccine dose to the affected patients if they request one.
