A lot has changed this year in the Bay Area and now another big change is coming to San Francisco. The landmark Coca-Cola sign in San Francisco’s South of Market District is set to be torn down. The sign that has been welcoming people into S.F. as they exit the Bay Bridge for more than 80 years will soon be dismantled. According to KPIX 5, a permit has been issued by the city to dismantle the sign. The sign will not be able to be replaced once it is removed from 701 Bryant St.
