Oakland based Clorox, happens to be the world’s biggest maker of disinfectant cleaning materials. Unfortunately, the cleaning giant wasn't ready to meet the demand of a pandemic whose main enemy is a spray or wipe of disinfectant. The company said that due to high demand the shortage of their famous wipes along with other products will last consumers into 2021. During this pandemic, wipes have been in especially high demand with shoppers.
Despite the increase in production the demand outweighs what they can supply, “Given the fact that cold and flu sits in the middle of the year, and then we expect the pandemic to be with us for the entirety of the year, it will take the full year to get up to the supply levels that we need to be at,” Clorox President and CEO-elect Linda Rendle said on Monday. At least this comes as good news for Clorox employees in the Bay Area. Business is booming. Have you spotted Clorox wipes?
