Walmart is switching things up this year for the holidays. Walmart said that they are going to close on Thanksgiving this year. This is the first time that they company has closed for the holiday since the 80's. They want to give their employees the opportunity to spend the holiday with their families. It has become a holiday tradition for Walmart to open early on Thanksgiving to help kick off the holiday shopping season. In addition to the closure the company also announced over $428 million in employee bonuses.
