Gov. Gavin Newsom said that due to the rising number of COVID-19 cases 19 of the 58 California counties must close indoor operations effective immediately. In the Bay Area, this includes #SantaClaraCounty, #ContraCostaCounty, and #SolanoCounty. The full list of counties with tougher restrictions is listed below. Indoor activity restrictions are in place for the following sectors:
- Restaurants
- Wineries
- Movie theaters
- Family entertainment
- Zoos
- Museums
- Cardrooms
- Bars must close ALL operations.
Gov. Newsom also said that all parking facilities at state beaches in Southern CA and the Bay Area will be CLOSED for the upcoming 4th of July holiday weekend. He did not restrict or close beach access. He also advised people to remain diligent when gathering with friends and family over the holiday weekend.
