The CDC Has Finally Updated The COVID-19 Guidelines

As the world slowly gets back to business in a new COVID-19 world the CDC has released updated guidelines to help ensure everyone stays healthy. There is no way to prevent infection 100% but you can take steps to ensure that you stay as safe as possible when venturing out.

HOW PEOPLE CATCH COVID-19- The main way people catch the coronavirus is from respiratory droplets spreading between people in close quarters. Droplets can fly from people’s mouths and noses when they breathe, talk, or sneeze. If you happen to breath those infected droplets in. You can catch the virus.

PRO TIPS

Keep it short and sweet- The more closely you interact with others and the longer that interaction, the higher the risk of COVID-19 spread.

What Would Kevin Bacon do?- They say that there are 6° of separation between anyone in Kevin Bacon. During this pandemic think about that magic number six and remember to maintain 6-feet of social distancing and you too could be on your way to legendary Kevin status! The CDC warns 'Indoor spaces are more risky than outdoor spaces where it might be harder to keep people apart and there’s less ventilation.'

Accessorize It Up- They have face coverings that represent your favorite color, team and anything you love. Mostly they represent health for you and your neighbors! Your cloth face covering may protect them. Their cloth face covering may protect you. Make sure you are cleaning your mask properly.

I read a great analogy on VOX they said to imagine everyone is smoking, and you’d like to avoid inhaling as much smoke as possible. Indoors in a small space, that smoke is going to get pretty heavy pretty fast. If you add people and no ventilation your odds of inhaling that smoke go up. It’s the same with this virus: The more of it you inhale, the more likely you are to get sick.
