Due to the weekend protests and general unrest in the Bay Area several cities have enacted city wide curfews. Basically the curfew means that you must stay home from 8 PM until 5 AM. If you are caught out outside of those hours you will be stopped. In Pleasant Hill people have been warned to stay away from city’s downtown.
San Jose: 8:30 p.m. to 5 a.m., ending on June 7 or until further notice
San Francisco: 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. until further notice
Santa Clara: 8:30 p.m. to 5 a.m., until further notice
Hayward: 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., until June 8
Danville: 10 p.m. until 5 a.m., until further notice
Walnut Creek: 8 p.m. until 5 a.m., ending June 8.
Pleasant Hill: 9:30 p.m. until 5:30 a.m., until further notice.
Lafayette: 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. until further notice
Alameda: 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday and Tuesday, but may be extended Wednesday morning.

There are a select few who are exempt from the curfew including first responders, essential city service employees, people who are in need of medical attention or are homeless.
