In a scene that's straight out of Looney Tunes, an assistant professor at the University of Arizona has captured video of a coyote chasing a roadrunner through the desert.
Posted online by Assistant Professor Michael Thomas Bogan, the clip shows the four-legged predator chasing the tiny bird near the Santa Cruz River in Tucson. And like their cartoon counterparts, the roadrunner ends up dodging the coyote at the last second and gets away. In this case, however, the coyote manages to get through the incident without blowing himself up or falling off a cliff.
"There is literally a coyote chasing a roadrunner," Bogan can be heard saying in the video. "I can’t believe it. That is a straight up cartoon."
