All registered voters in California will receive a mail in ballot for the 2020 election. Gov. Gavin Newsom announced the executive order Friday during his daily Coronavirus press conference. Gov. Newsom has already signed the executive order making him the first lawmaker in the country to do so. He also stressed that this does not mean that the state is moving to mail-only, in-person voting will remain an option. "Mail-in voting is important, but it is not an exclusive substitute to physical locations," Newsom said, stating that some people are simply not comfortable mailing in a ballot.
