Solano County Public Health officials announced Friday that they are going to extend its shelter at home order through May 17. The original order for Solano County was expected to expire on May 3rd. Residents in Fairfield, Vacaville, Vallejo, Rio Vista, Suisun City, Dixon & Benicia will be expected to stay at home except to get food, get necessary health care and to engage in essential activities and work. San Francisco Mayor London Breed said on Friday that it is 'very likely' that the order will also be extended for San Francisco as well.
Earlier this week Governor Gavin Newsom said that the state is on the right track but was hesitant to give a date for reopening of businesses. He announced that hospital would be able to resume elective surgery.
