Here's What's Open During The Bay Area's Shelter In Place
It seems like every minute the news is being updated with new information about our way of life in this COVID-19 era. 6 Bay area counties were instructed to shelter in place which basically means stay-at-home unless it's absolutely necessary for you to leave. The order is in effect until April 7th.The directive begins at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday and involves San Francisco, Santa Clara, San Mateo, Marin, Contra Costa and Alameda counties.
That being said there are several places that are still going to be open during the shelter in place.
Essential government services will continue, such as:
- Banks
- City Hall
- Police and Fire Departments
- Transit
- Sanitation Trash pick up
- Airports
- Grocery stores
- Pharmacies
- Gas stations
